We kick off our first article with an essential and non-negotiable topic: SAFETY.

Safety, especially in our Industry, must be zero tolerance.

In summary, we could say that: to HANDLE these special and beautiful devices (Transformers) with TOP Care, is the one of the main purposes of our company.

Handling with care greatly involves to proactively and preventively monitor the life of the transformer since its conception (specification stage) to the hopefully long-lasting life of its operation.

When handling power, distribution transformers, or for that purpose, operating any industrial equipment with high voltages, carelessly, with lack of knowledge or over confidence (probably the most common) could cause unexpected very expensive equipment repairs, along with other material collateral damages, but much worse, lead to unfortunate (already known) physical harmful scenarios in human lives.

Safety will always be the best Return on Investment.

This is one of various reasons why investment of time and resources in inspections of transformers will always provide unevaluable return on investment. Regular inspections during manufacturing and periodic maintenance at site help identify impending issues at the earliest and prevent future problems (meaning incalculable savings).

During operations for instance, transformers must be checked for oil quality or leaks, damaged indicators, connectors or gauges, worn-out power cords, system loading graph reviews, burning smell, plugs, misaligned parts to minimize system failures and fire hazards, among others.

Certain industry requirements must be considered when assuring adequate equipment operations and as a result maximize its performance.

In the next posts we’ll be giving some specific TOP Care Tips to consider.
